About Prophet Marquez Griffin

Marquez Griffin’s life story is truly inspiring. Despite facing tough challenges as a child, including verbal abuse, abandonment, and even losing his three-month-old son, Zechariah Griffin, he’s a shining example of how to overcome adversity and live fearlessly.

Born on August 26, 1981, in Monroe, Louisiana, Marquez’s early life was marked by difficulties. His grandparents legally adopted him because his biological parents struggled with personal issues and addiction. This meant he was separated from his brothers and sisters. Despite these hardships, Marquez showed remarkable qualities like creativity, ambition, and natural leadership. He left a positive impact on his family and friends.

Growing up, Marquez was exposed to street life and the club scene. Surprisingly, at just sixteen, he found his voice as a local hip-hop radio personality on 100.1 The Beat in Monroe. He was deeply influenced by artists like 2pac Shakur, Nas, Master P, Fiend, and Mystikal. Music became his way to express the challenges he faced.

Marquez’s big break came when he met Big Ed, a famous artist from No Limit Records. They became close, and Marquez had the opportunity to record music and tour with him. However, tragedy struck when Big Ed fell ill and passed away due to cancer on July 8th, 2001. This loss left Marquez in a dark place, leading to depression.

But in March 2002, everything changed. Marquez gave his life to Christ, and this marked a turning point. He realized his calling and preached his first public sermon in 2004 at Progressive Baptist Church. Under the guidance of spiritual mentors like Pastor Henry Reddix and Inez Walker, he embraced ministry. He even worked alongside renowned evangelist Dr. Mike Murdock and traveled internationally to help others.

Throughout his journey, Marquez has inspired thousands of people. He encourages others to overcome depression, rejection, abuse, and life’s challenges. He believes that life is like a canvas, and we are the artists, capable of creating a victorious and meaningful life
